Cultivate your autumn! | An autumn full of activities in Brossard!

05 August 2022 Last update 17/05/2025

Ville de Brossard launches its rich fall programming: Cultivate your fall!

After two years of virtual activities and reserved events, autumn is back in the spotlight with the launch of the City of Brossard’s rich program: Cultivate your autumn! Children, teens, adults and seniors are invited to browse the city’s website at brossard.ca/automne to choose what their fall season will be made of.

“I’m delighted to be able to announce the return of all our fall activities. Our teams have pulled out all the stops to offer a program rich in action, culture, pleasure and emotion. Take advantage of this opportunity to discover a new activity offered by the city or one of our organizations,” said Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad.

An action-packed fall!

The program is packed with activities for the fall season. The public is invited to visit the Town’s website today to find out about municipal activities and those offered by organizations:

  • Team sports
  • Individual sports
  • Fitness and wellness
  • Visual arts
  • Dance
  • Music
  • Early childhood
  • Community
  • Educational activities
  • Recreational activities

Please note that registration for the École de musique will open on August 15, and that registration for sports and aquatic activities will open online at 9 a.m. on August 27. For registration dates for activities offered by the city’s recognized organizations, visit activites.

An autumn full of fun!

After a running-in period and a two-year pandemic that forced the city to restrict capacity, the Brossard aquatic complex will officially open on September 19. Welcoming users at full capacity, providing access to non-residents, lifting mandatory reservations and gradually opening up the major games, such as the Tarzan rope, the rope bridge and the zip line, will enable visitors to enjoy a unique experience in one of the most beautiful facilities in Quebec.

Rates for open-air baths 2022-2023

From September 6, bathing enthusiasts will be able to purchase an individual annual pass online (bciti loisir pass required). Please note that family memberships must be purchased in person at Services Brossard or at the aquatic complex. It should be remembered that this fee structure, planned from 2019, had been suspended by the city council due to the restricted access to the facility linked to COVID-19. Find out all about pricing.

Swim program transition

For many years, the city has offered the Canadian Red Cross swimming program and the Lifesaving Society’s lifesaving program. Earlier this year, the Red Cross announced that it was discontinuing all of its aquatic course programming and inviting providers to switch to the Lifesaving Society’s “Swim for Life” program. The company has over 100 years’ experience in providing nationally recognized swimming and lifesaving courses.

It’s therefore only natural that the City should proceed with this transition of the swimming program as of autumn 2022, just like several other aquatic facilities. The two programs are similar, and the tools for this transition are accessible and easy to understand. Citizens wishing to register for a swimming course are invited to consult the City’s website at transition to ensure that their registration corresponds to the appropriate level.

Registration for aquatic courses will take place online from August 27, at 9 a.m.

An autumn rich in culture!

The Georgette-Lepage Brossard Library is back with an autumn program packed with rich and varied activities. Fall highlights include the return of face-to-face activities for all age groups, the reopening of Espace SODA for young people aged 12 to 17, and activities during Public Library Week. It will run from October 15 to 22 under the theme Ma biblio: beyond words! During this event, citizens will be able to discover a brand-new collection of board games to borrow.

Culture Days in Brossard

On October1, the library team will be offering three activities as part of the Journées de la culture. Children can create the soundtrack to their own comic book, adults can take part in a humorous writing games workshop, and technophiles aged 12 and over can learn how to make wooden bookmarks using a laser-cutting machine at the Fab Lab (registration required).

The 2022-2023 exhibition season is back in full swing with four exhibitions in two venues:

Hall des Arts | Town Hall

  • Center de soutien entr’Aidant | September 9 to October 27, 2022
  • Madeleine St-Jean | November 4 to December 21, 2022

Espace Mur-mur des arts | Library

  • Geneviève Després | September 9 to October 30, 2022
  • Yves Doré | November 4, 2022 – January 8, 2023

An exciting autumn!

Colorful events await you this fall! Meetings, shows, entertainment and conferences are all on the agenda!

Young at Heart Week

The young at heart will be delighted to hear of the return of this Week, so rich in activities of all kinds. From September 27 to October1, participants will be able to attend free lectures, physical activity sessions and shows, among others. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people, exchange ideas and have fun. To round off the Week in style, a show will be presented at Club DIX30.

La Grande marche de Brossard

Brossard residents are invited to dress up and follow in their footsteps on Saturday, October 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., by taking part in the Grande marche, supported by Le Grand défi Pierre Lavoie. This year’s festive event will take place at the Grand Parc Urbain, with a Halloween theme.

Holiday Flavors

The Saveurs des Fêtes event is back again this year, with three festive components: arts and crafts, creative trends and gourmet products. The always entertaining and lively event will take place over a single weekend this year, from November 18 to 20. A date not to be missed!

Pleasure, culture, action and emotion sum up the season’s menu for young and old alike. Cultivate your autumn in the best possible way by consulting the City’s rich programming.
