Following the sanitary measures announced on Tuesday, the Ville de Brossard confirms that the winter 2022 activity session will resume on February 4 for group courses of up to 25 people for those under 18.
Good news: expanded access to events will double the initial Fest-Hiver attendance!
WINTER 2022 | Courses for under-18s start on February 4
In accordance with the recommendations of the Direction générale de la santé publique, Ville de Brossard will allow organized sports activities to continue as of February 4, with the exception of ice sports organizations (field hockey, ringette), which will resume their activities as of Monday, January 31. It should be noted that in the case of aquatic courses, greater control will be exercised in the changing rooms to avoid overcrowding due to continuous turnover; for example, showers will not be accessible after classes.
The city will also be providing access to its community centers and schools from February 4, so that its partner organizations can resume their courses for young people. Those who have registered for a recreational, community, educational or cultural activity organized by one of the city’s partners should contact the organization directly. Please note that adult courses are always postponed to a later date. The City is monitoring the situation closely and will announce a start date for the adult session as soon as health guidelines allow. FEST-HIVER 2022 | Site to welcome more festival-goers on February 12 and 13
Faced with stricter health guidelines at the start of the year, the town limited access to the outdoor site of the Fest-Hiver. Now, in accordance with the flexibility measures announced, the initial number of visitors will be more than doubled, enabling a greater number of Brossard residents to take advantage of the winter season’s flagship event, to be held on February 12 and 13 at Poly-Aréna Park.
However, vaccination passports and registration remain mandatory. Registration for the new places available will take place on Monday February 7, 9 a.m., at fest-hiver.

SPRING 2022 | Activity session cancelled
Due to the postponement of the 2022 winter session and the uncertainty surrounding the timing of the resumption of activities, the spring session will not be able to take place, for both aquatics and fitness. However, depending on the timing of the end of the winter session and the start of the summer session, a generous offer of free activities will be presented to citizens to make up for the absence of the spring session, all subject to current health guidelines.
