The Brossard aquatic complex will be closed from August 23 to September 19 inclusively for annual maintenance of the pools and aquatic equipment.
The closure of the complex will allow a thorough cleaning of the facilities. The pools will be completely emptied and cleaned, as will the promenade, chutes, slide, springboards, filters, etc. It’s a process that will take several days, since a certain rhythm must be observed when emptying and filling the basins. Indeed, filling a 20,000-litre backyard pool can take 24 to 48 hours, while the complex’s competition pool alone contains three (3) million liters and will take more than eight (8) days to fill! The water then needs to be filtered, heated and the parameters adjusted for the comfort of bathers.
Start of autumn session: September 25
When the annual maintenance program is completed, a session of free and scheduled activities will be offered to the citizens of Brossard. From September 25, swimming lessons for young and old, as well as aquatic fitness classes, will be offered for everyone’s enjoyment, in compliance with health regulations. Registration dates and activities will be announced shortly.
Residents are invited to visit brossard.ca/complexe-aquatique for more information on the aquatic complex.
