The history of toys

Ville de Brossard is proud to announce a series of meetings with the creators of the exhibition The History of Toys. Collectors Stéphane Corriveau and Marlène Lemieux are at the Galerie Renée-Blain at the Centre socioculturel Alphonse-Lepage on December 7 and 14, 2025 and January 17, 2026. Come and chat with them and hear the secrets of their treasures.

Since 2018, Stéphane Corriveau and Marlène Lemieux have been scouring Quebec in search of artifacts that tell the fascinating story of the game’s evolution, a faithful mirror of the social and cultural transformations of our history. Victorian dolls, teddy bears, model trains and toy cars from the last century await you.

The exhibition, presented free of charge at the Galerie Renée-Blain until February 1, 2026, features a unique collection of over 50 vintage toys.

Come and learn more about the origin of the pieces, the treasure hunt challenges and the story behind each object. It’s the perfect opportunity to smile, marvel and share the timeless magic of play between generations.
