Councillor Xixi Li loses her right to attend council meetings as a member of the municipal council as of April 13.
The City of Brossard announces that Councillor Xixi Li (district 8 – sectors O-N-I) of the Coalition Brossard Party loses the right to attend, as a member of the municipal council, the council meetings of the City of Brossard, as of April 13, 2023, since her official representative has not filed the party’s annual financial report within the required deadline, in accordance with section 502 of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities (RLRQ, c. E-2.2 [AERM]).
Loss of this right also entails loss of the right to attend, as a member, meetings of the boards, committees, commissions and organizations referred to in section 504 of the AERM. The penalty for attending such a session without the right to do so is set out in section 643 of the AERM.
A person who has lost the right to attend sittings loses, by virtue of article 512, the right to receive the remuneration or allowance provided for each sitting he is unable to attend.
