“It is with great emotion that I must leave my post…”.
Pierre Archambault, Director General of the City of Brossard, has confirmed his retirement and will step down as Director General on August 5. Mr. Archambault had been General Manager since the beginning of 2019.
A seasoned manager, Pierre Archambault has a long track record in both the municipal and private sectors. Starting out as a corporate finance consultant, he subsequently held various management positions in finance and organizational transformation for the cities of St-Hubert and Longueuil. He later held a senior management position at the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL). He joined Ville de Brossard in 2017 as finance director before becoming general manager in 2019.
“ It is with great emotion that I must leave my post. I’ve had five really great years in Brossard and, thanks to the cooperation of all the employees and the municipal council, I’ve been able to meet many challenges and work on some exciting projects. Managing a city during a pandemic has not always been easy, but the commitment of all our staff and elected representatives has been remarkable, and I’d like to mention it. Today, health issues have led me to make the difficult decision to leave so as not to mortgage my quality of life for years to come. “said Pierre Archambault.
” I would like to highlight Pierre Archambault’s work and unwavering commitment to the City of Brossard. His skills, integrity and professionalism will be greatly missed. Thanks to him, several projects have come to fruition for the betterment of our citizens. However, certain situations in life force us to make agonizing decisions, and Mr. Archambault’s choice is the best one for him and his loved ones. “concluded Mayor Doreen Assaad.
The process of replacing the General Manager will be set in motion shortly.
