The Ville de Brossard will host the Montréal Symphony Orchestra (OSM) on Wednesday, July 22, at 7:30 p.m., at Poly-aréna Park, as part of the “OSM in the Parks.” This major free outdoor concert, conducted by Dina Gilbert, will mark the OSM’sninth appearance in Brossard.
A flagship cultural event of the summer on the South Shore, this symphonic concert invites the residents of Brossard, visitors from neighboring towns, and music lovers and newcomers from all corners of Quebec to enjoy a spectacular evening of music, accessible to everyone, under the summer sky.
A program to rediscover well-known works
This year, OSM Associate Conductor Dina Gilbert will take the podium for a concert featuring saxophonist Jason Xu, winner of the 2024 OSM Competition, as soloist. During the evening, hosted by André Robitaille, the audience will be treated to a program with a Latin flair, featuring excerpts from Bizet’s famous opera *Carmen*, the symphonic dances from *West Side Story*, and a fiery excerpt from Dvořák’s *Slavonic Dances *.

“It is a great honor for Brossard to host the Montréal Symphony Orchestra on the South Shore for the ninth year in a row. This must-see event reflects our commitment to culture and our city’s growing presence on the provincial cultural scene. “I invite the residents of Brossard and visitors from across Quebec to come together and enjoy this magnificent symphonic experience under the summer sky,” announced Doreen Assaad, mayor of Brossard.
Free and convenient shuttle buses provided by the RTL
To make your arrival easier and help you avoid having to search for parking near the Poly-aréna park, Ville de Brossard, in collaboration with the Longueuil Transit Network (RTL), encourages the public to opt for active transportation or the free public transit options available for the event.

This year, we’ve added some new features to make it easier to get to the OSM before and after the show:
- Two special RTL shuttle buses: one between the Alphonse-Lepage Sociocultural Center (next to the library, at 7905 San Francisco Avenue) to take concertgoers to the concert venue, and a second service between the Panama Terminal (7075 Philippines Street) and the concert venue.
- Free bus routes (41, 43, and 44): Simply show your OSM coupon at the parks; it’s available on the RTL website.
Plan Your Visit Carefully
- The public is invited to enjoy the outdoor concert while relaxing on the lawn at Poly-Aréna Park.
- Audience members are welcome to bring a chair or blanket, a picnic lunch, and a reusable water bottle.
- Refill stations will be available on site.
- The concert will take place rain or shine.
- In case of rain, we recommend wearing a raincoat, as umbrellas should be avoided so as not to obstruct the view of other spectators.
