An important meeting between Hydro-Québec President and CEO Sophie Brochu and Mayor Doreen Assaad was held at City Hall on Tuesday, to take stock of the power system reliability problem in Brossard.
In fact, Brossard residents have been experiencing power outages at an abnormally high frequency for several months now. In fact, last July, a Hydro-Québec team went out to replace faulty circuit breakers. This initiative was just one step in the action plan drawn up in June to rectify the situation.
“The fact that Hydro-Québec’s President and CEO, Ms. Brochu, came to our offices to meet with me is a sign that the situation is being taken seriously. It was during a very cordial meeting that we were able to discuss the solutions envisaged to definitively resolve the issue of power outages on the territory”, mentioned Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
In the context of the various interventions that will be carried out to resolve the situation, we would like to remind you that service interruptions on the network, planned by the state-owned company, are unavoidable. Where appropriate, Hydro-Québec will contact the citizens concerned.
