The Town would like to inform its citizens that facilities will be available to refresh themselves.
In view of the hot weather forecast over the next few days, the Town would like to inform its citizens that cooling facilities will be available.
Water games
The water features will run for an extra two hours during the heat wave. Extended hours will be Tuesday June 18 to Thursday June 20, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Outdoor pools
Although outdoor pools normally open towards the end of the school year, some are already welcoming swimmers, including the Aster (Parc Manon) and Vanier pools. Free access is available between Tuesday June 18 and Thursday June 20, from 3 pm to 8:45 pm. Our teams are working to open the other outdoor pools and paddling pools in the next few days. Follow the evolution of open-air swimming pools
Georgette-Lepage Brossard Library
It’s also a good idea to cool off in the library between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. on hot days. In addition to the many on-site services (reference and reader assistance, themed workshops and activities, reading rooms, etc.), the library has air-conditioned premises.
Aquatic complex
Open swims at the aquatic complex are accessible according to the schedule in effect, available at the open swim.
The city will reassess the situation in the coming days.
Stay hydrated, rest, cool off
Drinking, slowing down and spending time in a cool place are the keys to making the most of hot spells. We invite you to consult the “Public Health” section of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de la Montérégie-centre website for advice on how to deal with heat alerts at www.santemonteregie.qc.ca.
