Brossard launches a support service for merchants on its territory
Brossard, April 20, 2020 – The City of Brossard is setting up a dedicated service for businesses on its territory to help them learn about the financial support measures that could apply to their situation, in the current context related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting today, Brossard merchants offering goods and services to the public, as well as Brossard entrepreneurs, can contact Services Brossard at 450 923-6311 to be referred to this support service.
The provincial government put Quebec on pause on March 23. This measure, while necessary, has heavy financial consequences for the province’s businesses, and Brossard’s businesses are no exception.
“More than ever, we need to support our local businesses and encourage the local economy. We have already updated our interactive map to enable Brossard residents to find out which essential businesses are open on our territory. Today, we are announcing a new measure to support our retailers in these difficult times. As for the future, the municipal council is working with the administration to develop other support measures for Brossard businesses”, declares Mrs. Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
For their part, manufacturing, industrial, technology and B-to-B companies are invited to consult the help page specially designed for them by Développement économique de l’agglomération de Longueuil (DEL) for information on this subject.
