Brossard launches a new $10,000 grant program to encourage environmentally-friendly initiatives.
Ville de Brossard is proud to announce the launch of a new $10,000 grant program dedicated to environmental and sustainable development projects. This new financial assistance, of up to $2,500 per project, is designed to support and encourage citizens’ groups, organizations, businesses and institutions wishing to carry out projects to improve local resilience and quality of life.
This new program benefits both the population and the environment,” said Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard. By providing financial support for projects that are close to the hearts of Brossard residents and that offer an environmental benefit, we are once again demonstrating our commitment to improving the environment in which we live,” she added.
Community involvement and benefits will be the anchors of this new program, which will cover projects aimed, for example, at improving an activity area, a neighborhood park, a schoolyard or even a parking lot. Priority will be given to projects that target issues identified in the City’s 2020-2021 Environmental Action Plan, namely:
- air and climate change;
- water;
- environmental management;
- nuisance;
- residual materials;
- soils and biodiversity.
Those interested in proposing a project can do so before August 2, 2021 by completing the online form available at brossard.ca/grant. Projects to be funded will be announced on September 15.
