Parc Poly-aréna
The Ville de Brossard announces the opening, starting June 22, of its first six outdoor pickleball courts specifically designed for the sport, as well as two new tennis courts at Poly-aréna Park.
An enhanced sports lineup
This opening comes at just the right time for the start of the summer season and responds to the growing interest among residents in outdoor racquet sports. With these new additions, Poly-aréna Park will now have six pickleball courts and eight tennis courts.

The new courts are in addition to the facilities that have already been modernized as part of the redevelopment of Poly-aréna Park, which included a complete renovation of the six existing tennis courts, including lighting and fencing.
“We are very pleased to offer new, modern sports facilities that are accessible and tailored to the growing needs of the community. The opening of these fields reflects our commitment to encouraging an active lifestyle,” said Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
Residents will be able to reserve the courts using the same open-reservation system currently in place for tennis courts, through the City’s website. The reservation service will be available from June 22 to October 25.
Improvements to Enhance the Park Experience
The work carried out as part of Phases 1A and 1B is intended to modernize the facilities, improve the user experience, and make the area greener.
These include, in particular, the development of new sports fields, the creation of a recreational area, the repair of a section of the bike path on Niagara Avenue, the repair of a section of the parking lot, the addition of street furniture, the construction of vegetated retention basins, and the planting of a variety of vegetation.
Some adjustments to the schedule were necessary in order to incorporate work that had originally been planned for a later phase and to ensure proper coordination with various public utilities.
A season to better document usage
The City will use the summer season to assess the actual usage of the outdoor racquet courts, which are currently available free of charge by reservation.
In 2025, 91% of available beach spaces were reserved, but the actual occupancy rate is estimated at about 75%. To get a more accurate picture, land use will be tracked hourly for one month this summer.
This data will help inform future recommendations regarding the procedures for reserving outdoor racquet courts.
