Brossard inaugurates its new Centre multigénérationnel

Projects and development 12 September 2025 Last update 24/10/2025

A modern, inclusive and eco-responsible venue

It was with great pride that Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad, accompanied by members of the municipal council, inaugurated Brossard’s new multigenerational center today.

Located at 6425, boulevard Milan (formerly Metro), this 4,166 m2 flagship building, thanks to a $27.2 million investment, is becoming a true civic space where all generations of Brossard residents can meet, move, create and grow.

A place for life, sport, culture and leisure

Conceived as an accessible, inclusive and lively place, the center includes :

  • a multi-purpose gymnasium,
  • a dance hall,
  • two multi-purpose rooms and a meeting room,
  • ten petanque courts,
  • a billiards room (4 tables) and snooker room,
  • as well as relaxation areas on the terrace and in the outdoor gardens.

The Centre is also home to a new selection from the City’s Art Collection, highlighting the cultural diversity that makes up the richness of Brussells’ identity.

A great source of pride and a collective achievement

“Today, I feel very proud. The opening of this Centre multigénérationnel marks a major milestone in the history and development of Brossard. It’s a place that reflects our city: inclusive, innovative and sustainable.

It’s a collective project in which we believed together – elected officials, municipal employees, partners and citizens – and which now becomes our common heritage: a place that today’s citizens and generations to come will proudly enjoy,” said an emotional Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.

An exemplary project, delivered on time

Announced to the public by Mayor Assaad in November 2022 and delivered on schedule in September 2025, the multigenerational center illustrates the city’s ability to carry out structuring projects with rigor and collaboration.

The town extends its warmest thanks to its partners: Groupe Decarel, Neuf architectes, Inspace design, BC2, Dupras-Ledoux and Lainco, as well as the municipal teams, notably the Leisure, Culture and Community Life Department and the Technical Services Department.

With its wooden structure, abundant natural light and green roof, the building is a municipal symbol of sustainable innovation, designed for the community and in harmony with the environment.

Reservations open on Monday

Starting Monday, September 15, citizens will be able to reserve badminton and pickleball courts in the gymnasium, as well as pool tables on brossard.ca using their bciti+ account (fees may apply).
