At last Tuesday’s City Council meeting, Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad announced a major strategic initiative aimed at optimizing the city’s organizational structure and governance model. This approach is part of a clear commitment to building an agile, efficient and forward-looking administration.
“We need to be bold and proactive. My objective is clear: to provide Brossard with the best possible structure so that every decision is guided by efficiency, performance and excellence. We don’t just want to meet citizens’ expectations, we want to exceed them,” declared the mayor.
This orientation is based on a fundamental principle: efficiency, performance and excellence must guide every one of our decisions.
With this in mind, the General Management team has been mandated to develop, starting next month, a structured plan aimed at :
- Optimize the efficiency of the decision-making process and strengthen municipal governance;
- Keeping the tax bill below the rate of inflation;
- Ensure stability of debt servicing in relation to the revenue budget;
- Promote thoughtful, coherent development of the region.
“It’s not just an intention, it’s a strong political direction that will quickly translate into concrete action. We want tangible results to build a well-managed, responsible and forward-looking city,” added the Mayor.
This initiative marks the start of a new mandate in which performance, responsibility and vision will be the pillars of municipal governance. The city is committed to maintaining an open dialogue with its partners and to making sustainable development a lever of prosperity for the entire community.
