Brossard creates a bank of volunteer citizens for consultative purposes

Municipal organization 18 February 2026 Last update 24/02/2026

Citizen participation

Ville de Brossard today announced the creation of a new initiative enabling residents to share their opinions on issues and projects affecting the community. Through the creation of a bank of volunteer citizens, Brossard hopes to enable those who wish to do so to become more involved in their community and in municipal life.

An accessible, simple and fast mechanism

By simply registering with the bank of volunteer citizens, Brossard residents will be able to take part in targeted electronic consultations to share their opinions and make their voices heard. At key moments, citizens will be invited to react and contribute to municipal reflections, so that public decisions take into account the citizen experience.

Ad hoc citizens’ committees

When necessary, ad hoc committees of 12 to 15 people will be formed from the bank of volunteer citizens. These groups will be invited to exchange views on well-defined topics, with the aim of bringing a variety of viewpoints to bear and improving concepts and projects.

“Over the past few years, the people of Brussells have demonstrated a growing desire to take part in the decisions that affect their daily lives and their environment. By offering this participatory mechanism, we hope to provide a new way for citizens to express their views on the issues that are important to them. This feedback will be invaluable and will enrich our thinking so that Brossard can continue to grow while taking into account the ambitions and concerns of its community,” emphasizes Mayor Doreen Assaad.

Easy registration in under 5 minutes

Ville de Brossard invites interested parties to register at brossard.ca/parole or by visiting the Pensons Brossard website. The registration questionnaire contains around 15 questions and takes less than five minutes to complete.
