Ville de Brossard is issuing a boil water advisory for its entire territory following laboratory analysis results showing the presence of total coliforms (E. coli) in the water system.
We recommend boiling the water for at least one minute before consumption, until further notice.
However, unboiled tap water can be used to wash dishes in hot water (making sure to dry them thoroughly), wash clothes and take a shower or bath.
Please note that this measure will take a minimum of 48 hours to complete, given the compliance tests that need to be carried out. This period could be longer. To follow developments, visit brossard.ca and follow us on Ville de Brossard social media.
For young children and infants, it’s best to wash them with a washcloth to prevent them from swallowing water, and to make sure they don’t bring any soaked objects to their mouths.
