Ville de Brossard advises residents that certain library services will be unavailable between May 1 and June 3.
Ville de Brossard wishes to inform its citizens and users that the Brossard Georgette-Lepage library is acquiring more efficient management software for its various administrative activities, in particular for loan transactions and updating its research catalog. In order to install the new system, certain services will be temporarily interrupted between May1 and June 3.
The replacement of the management software has become necessary to improve the service offered to users, which no longer meets current needs and standards. The installation of the new software will improve the user’s experience of browsing the search catalog:
- Book localization within search results
- Reserving the document in search results
- Greater visibility for book covers
TO REMEMBER
All May
To allow for the installation of the new system, two (2) services will no longer be available during the month of May:
- Reserving documents on order
- Buying suggestions
May 31 to June 3
The loan service, document return service and document chute will be unavailable from May 31 to June 3 inclusive. The library will remain open during this period, however, and all other services and activities will be accessible.
Improved visibility of digital resources, simplified internal processes and enhanced web connectivity are just some of the many benefits that this new management software will offer.
