Acting Mayor of Brossard
At its regular meeting on December 9, the municipal council of the Ville de Brossard appointed SophieAllard, councillor for district 7 (sectors R-S), to act as deputy mayor. This appointment came into effect yesterday, for an indefinite period.
The deputy mayor has and exercises the powers of the mayor when the latter is absent from the territory or is unable to fulfill the duties of her office.
In accordance with the Cities and Towns Act, a municipality is required to have a deputy mayor at all times.
