At its November 14 meeting, the Brossard municipal council appointed Christian Gaudette, municipal councillor for district 1 (sectors C-E-B), to act as deputy mayor. This appointment took effect on November 15, 2023, for an indefinite period.
The deputy mayor has and exercises the powers of the mayor when the latter is absent from the territory or is unable to fulfill the duties of her office.
In accordance with the Cities and Towns Act, a municipality is required to have a deputy mayor at all times.
