Starting this Saturday, decorations, a snowman contest and a spring break rally await you.
Brossard’s not-to-be-missed winter event is adapting to the pandemic, with the Fest-Hiver offering decorations, a snowman contest and a spring break rally starting this Saturday, February 13. These entertaining propositions will allow citizens to explore the territory, take photos and perhaps even discover new enchanting sites in their city.
“The Ville de Brossard is pleased to offer its citizens opportunities for outdoor fun to enjoy the joys of winter. On behalf of the municipal council, I invite you to participate in large numbers,” declared Mayor Doreen Assaad.
February 13 and 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | Theme sets
Young and old can discover and explore decorated environments in four (4) parks on Saturday and four (4) other locations on Sunday. A fun way to enjoy the great white spaces at your own pace. In order to respect the physical distance rules in force, precise locations cannot be communicated in advance. Keep your eyes open. Can you find these ephemeral installations?
February 13 to March 8 | Snowman Contest
Creativity will also be the order of the day, with a snowman-making contest on the theme of the colors of the world. Snow or recycled materials are accepted in the manufacturing process. A registration form will be available online from February 13 at brossard.ca/fest-hiver to send in photos of your creations!
A random draw will determine the eight (8) winners, each of whom will receive a $50 gift card to a local business.
Spring Break | Snowball Rally
Children will take advantage of the school break to go in search of clues for the Snowball Rally. This original interactive adventure will take place in all four corners of the city and in virtual online mode.
