As of November 13, Councillor Sophie Allard is appointed Deputy Mayor.
At its regular meeting on November 12, Brossard’s municipal council appointed Sophie Allard, councillor for district 6 (sector S), to act as deputy mayor. This appointment took effect on November 13, 2024, for an indefinite period.
The deputy mayor has and exercises the powers of the mayor when the latter is absent from the territory or is unable to fulfill the duties of her office.
In accordance with the Cities and Towns Act, a municipality is required to have a deputy mayor at all times.
