Brossard was the place to be this weekend, as the latest edition of the Festin culturel took place. The 2022 edition was a resounding success, with more than 20,000 Brossardites and citizens from neighbouring towns gathering on August 12 and 13.
Celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the Brussel region, the program offered a variety of artists, culinary delights and activities to delight young and old alike. Participants were enchanted by the musical offerings of the Cultural Feast and danced to the rhythm of music from near and far. The event got off to a great start on Friday with colorful performances by Valérie Ékoumé and Zuruba, followed by lively songs by the group Les Trois Accords. There was something for everyone on Saturday: the fun songs of the group Les Petites Tounes, the contemporary Afroacoustic music of Noubi Trio, the Latin, groove and jazz tunes of Bantu Salsa and the explosive performance of the Boogie Wonder Band.
“There were plenty of smiles this weekend at the Festin culturel de Brossard. Once again this year, our city’s flagship summer event delighted the whole family with its lively musical performances and international culinary offerings. We hope to see just as many participants join us in celebrating Brossard’s diversity for the 2023 edition!” declared Doreen Assaad, Mayor of Brossard.
The success of the 2022 edition of the Festin culturel de Brossard was made possible, among other things, by the collaboration of the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL), official carrier of the event, and the Caisse Desjardins de Brossard, sponsor of Ateliers internationaux Desjardins.
