19 August 2024 Last update 17/05/2025

On Saturday, September 14, our employees welcome you to the Grand Parc urbain between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.!

Ville de Brossard invites Brossard residents, young and old, to a free event: Rencontre avec Ma Ville, on Saturday, September 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Grand parc urbain.

Citizens’ Day!

Learn more about YOUR City! City departments will be on hand in this green oasis to welcome you; a golden opportunity to come and meet the staff of the various departments at their respective booths, to discuss subjects that affect the municipal environment, and to discover all that your City has to offer in terms of services and activities of all kinds.

“I’m thrilled to be hosting this first event in Brossard’s 66-year history! Rencontre avec Ma Ville is an exceptional opportunity for citizens to meet the passionate staff who, every day, work to serve and ensure the well-being of our community. Come and discuss exciting topics such as the environment, culture, recreation, communications and much more. Take advantage of this opportunity to discover the wide range of activities offered by the employees who plan and implement them. You’ll have the chance to meet them on this special day! Mark your calendars now for this not-to-be-missed event on September 14. Come one, come all, and enjoy this unifying event,” declared Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad with enthusiasm.

Family day with surprises!

During this festive day, you’ll also have the opportunity to examine the heavy machinery used by Public Works employees when out in the field, and to sit in the driver’s seat.

You’ll also be able to chat with police officers from the Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil (SPAL) and visit the inside of a patrol car, in addition to receiving various safety-related information. Firefighters from the Service de sécurité incendie de l’agglomération de Longueuil (SSIAL) will also be on hand with their gleaming truck.

On the program:

  • City department kiosks
  • Tour and explanation of heavy machinery
  • Zumba classes
  • Entertainment and games at the booths
  • Make-up area for children (4 make-up artists on site!)
  • Police service with patrol car
  • Fire department with truck
  • Door prizes
  • And surprises for young and old!

FREE shuttle service

The Grand Parc urbain is located at 6000, rue Châteauneuf. A free shuttle service is available to and from the hotel. The starting point will be the Alphonse-Lepage Sociocultural Center, 7905 San Francisco Avenue.

Founded in 1958, the city of Brossard has experienced significant growth in recent years, thanks in part to its proximity to the metropolis, the arrival of major shopping centers (Mail Champlain and DIX30), the construction of the Solar district, the arrival of REM on its territory, the proximity of major highways and the project for a future downtown area, all of which point to an unprecedented transformation of the city.

So it’s high time we got together with citizens and employees to help you discover not only the City’s range of services, but also the employees who make it all happen, on Saturday, September 14, at the Grand parc urbain. Will you be there?

The event will take place rain or shine. Bring your raincoat or hat and sunglasses, depending on Mother Nature, and your water bottle, so you can make the most of it!
