23rd Quebec Public Library Week | Brossard offers family activities

15 November 2021 Last update 17/05/2025

From October 16 to 23, the public is invited to take part in activities organized by the Brossard Georgette-Lepage Library.

The City of Brossard invites the public to take part in the activities offered by the Georgette-Lepage Brossard Library, as part of Quebec Public Library Week, from October 16 to 23. Under the theme Ma Biblio : une histoire de famille, this year’s event is designed to highlight the essential role that libraries play in the lives of Quebec families, by helping to foster family literacy – that is, all the reading and writing practices that take place within a family unit, and which influence children’s development.

Free activities for local families

As part of this special week, children’s librarians are inviting 6-12 year-olds to the Espace Jeunes to play a matching game they’ve designed. Can you recognize the children’s books from which the different families featured come? Young people aged 12 and under who participate will have a chance to win a $50 gift card from Renaud-Bray bookstore.

The Library also offers an online game for adults called Famille livresque. The winner will also receive a $50 gift card from Renaud-Bray bookstore. Please note that players must be library subscribers to participate. Citizens wishing to register with the library can do so by creating an account on bciti.

The library’s complete program is available at brossard.ca/biblio, under the “Activities” tab.
