Rediscovering parks and green spaces

Special programming is planned for National Sport and Physical Activity Day. On May1, attend the season-opening Muscul’air Wednesdays at Sorbonne Park, in collaboration with Cardio plein air. On May 2, an activity will be held at the skateboard park to get the season off to a good start.

Citizens are also encouraged to take advantage of the day to discover or rediscover the city’s 350 parks and green spaces, and the wide range of activities that can be enjoyed there.

Keep an eye on our social media channels for the opening dates of our outdoor sports facilities. In the meantime, take advantage of the free activities offered in the recreational facilities of the Complexe aquatique, the Michel-Normandin arena and the Complexe sportif CN.

Sowing the seeds of discovery

The Bibliothèque de Brossard Georgette-Lepage cultivates spirits with a varied program of activities for children and adults, including World Book and Copyright Day. From April 22 to 28, children aged 6 to 12 will be invited to take part in a contest and game featuring local illustrators. Adults won’t be left out with the Des lĂ©gendes et des lieux conference on April 24.

On Thursday March 28, as part of Action Week Against Racism, citizens are invited to come and borrow living books. This will be an opportunity to engage in dialogue with people whose life stories are both interesting and singular. Snacks, coffee and tea will be served at this event, which aims to counter prejudice and promote intercultural understanding, tolerance and living together.

Cultivating passion among art lovers

Spring is sure to be full of culture, with four exhibitions presented this spring in the Hall des Arts and the Mur-mur des arts space. Photography, painting, mixed media – there’s something for everyone!

Until May 3, visitors young and old are invited to discover the interactive exhibition, Out of the Shadows! at Galerie Renée-Blain. The talent and inventiveness of artists from the Ombres Folles theater company are showcased in this exhibition of puppets, shadow play and objects.
