Replacement of aquatic facilities at Vanier Park

At the January 16, 2024 municipal council meeting, Brossard’s city council adopted the tabling of draft bylaws to authorize the replacement of the aquatic facilities at Parc Vanier.

The existing water features will remain and be integrated into the new landscaping concept. The new facilities will bring the parks’ aquatic services up to date with needs that have evolved considerably since the initial development.

The project in brief:

• Investment of $9,950,109
• Construction of a new concrete pool with universal access, green beach, slide, river, rope bridge and water basketball.
• Construction of a new 3-season service building (closed in winter).
• Installation of universal washrooms and changing rooms in the new building.
• Picnic tables and a toilet for the park.

Please note that the duration of work is subject to change depending on progress and weather conditions.

Update - July 2025

The Vanier Park swimming pool is now open and accessible to the public. Work on the main building is nearing completion, marking an important step towards the complete reopening of the site.
