Description
In Lights in Motion, Céline Touchette presents colorful, dynamic, and luminous photographs that have been digitally enhanced. Through the camera’s movement, reflections, and the technique of painting with light (lightpaintings), the artist creates compositions in which shapes seem to oscillate, vibrate, and transform.
Rather than simply illuminating the subject, light becomes a true creative medium here. She fragments reality, superimposes forms, and creates images that straddle the line between photography and abstraction.
The works demonstrate how technology can extend and transform the act of photography. Somewhere between capture and metamorphosis, they offer a sensitive exploration of light as an artistic language. Inspired by places the artist discovered during her travels, these works do not seek to faithfully reproduce the landscapes, but rather to offer a new perspective on them. The piece as a whole creates a dynamic visual rhythm, oscillating between luminous abstraction and a play of colors.

Céline Touchette ‘s approach is part of a reflection on the impermanence and transformation of the image. By disrupting visual cues, she creates an experience in which light does not merely reveal the world: it recomposes it, bringing to light realities that escape our immediate perception.
His images take shape in the places he visits during his travels. However, they are not documentaries. They offer a reinterpretation of the landscape and the built environment, where the play of light, reflections, and movement alter our relationship with what we see. Beyond being a tool for capturing images, the camera becomes a device for transformation.
