The “Illumination” exhibition by Montréal artist Meryem Aouli, of Moroccan origin, is a call to hope and serenity. “Illumination” is a heightened state of consciousness, in harmony with the Universe, that leads us to see life in a new light. Nature, in all its beauty, gives us a sense of wonder when we know how to look at it and contemplate every detail. So, by developing her sense of observation and listening, Meryem has succeeded in establishing a deeper, more subtle kind of connection than that linked to the aesthetic aspect.
