Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine goes beyond a regional conflict and illustrates the profound geopolitical shifts currently underway, challenging the post-Cold War international order. The conference explores key issues such as identity, energy, the economy, and new forms of warfare, in order to better understand the shifting global balance of power. With Yann Breault, assistant professor at the Royal Military College of Saint-Jean and research associate at GRIP, a specialist in the foreign policies of the former Soviet Union states, political economy, and the geopolitics of energy in Eurasia.
