This prestigious ceremony took place on April 13 at the Alphonse-Lepage socio-cultural center. This year, three exceptional Brossard residents received the honorary medal of the Ordre du mérite.

The Order of Merit is the highest distinction offered by the City to its citizens. It rewards Brossard residents for their exceptional commitment to the community, for their outstanding career paths, for their success on the national and international scenes, and even for their acts of bravery.
The Order of Merit medal is awarded at a ceremony organized by the town and presided over by the mayor. This prestigious event takes place in the presence of members of the municipal council, the honorees and previous recipients.

Among the hundred or so laureates recognized by the city over the years are seasoned entrepreneurs, artists who have distinguished themselves on the national and international scenes, top athletes, internationally renowned scientists, community workers who have improved the lot of many citizens, and teachers whose passion has influenced an entire generation.
A citizen of Brossard (a family member, work colleague, friend, neighbor or sports partner) who has distinguished himself or herself in an environmental, cultural, community, sports, economic, educational, humanitarian or scientific field may be honoured.
