Folk music show with Mia Kelly
Recent winner of the Young Performer of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year awards at the Canadian Folk Music Awards 2024, Mia is recognized as a poetic lyricist with a powerful, versatile voice.
Mia Kelly writes and performs in French and English. She offers a distinctive blend of folk, rock and blues. With her talent for adapting the stories of people she has come into contact with in her life, she is an imaginative storyteller who channels her raw, vulnerable emotions through her skilfully crafted songs. She has shared the stage with Aysanabee, The Franklin Electric, Daniel Champagne, Jeremie Albino, Julian Taylor, Lloyd Spiegel and has performed at Tallinn Music Week (Estonia), Folk Alliance International, Ottawa Bluesfest, Summerfolk, Ontario Festival of Small Halls, Festival des Montgolfières à Gatineau, Live from the Rock, and participated in the Winnipeg Folk Festival’s Young Artists Program in 2023.
