Sophie Allard

A city councilmember since 2017, Sophie Allard places the well-being of the community at the heart of her work. Throughout her terms in office, she has contributed to the work of several municipal bodies focused, in particular, on the environment, finance, and urban planning. In addition to serving as acting mayor, she is vice chair of the board of directors of the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL).

As a communications professional, Sophie Allard has been involved in numerous health awareness campaigns in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada. Her career has also taken her onto the international stage with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. In Tunisia, she collaborated on the Inclusive Municipal Leadership Program, which aimed to support women’s participation in local councils.

She holds a master’s degree in public relations and research from Boston University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in communication and international business from HEC Montréal. This training, combined with her experience in community governance, informs an approach focused on listening and finding solutions tailored to local realities.

Sophie Allard, who lives in Brossard with her partner and their two sons, is particularly focused on preserving biodiversity, land use planning, transportation, and street safety. She wants to help shape public policies that protect the quality of life in neighborhoods while meeting the needs of future generations.
