Mission
The Town Clerk’s Office provides secretarial services for the Town Council and implements the decisions taken by its representatives. She is responsible for document management, custody and preservation of archives, by-law adoption processes and tax sales.
Through the Town Clerk, the Clerk’s Office team also handles requests for access to documents held by the Town in accordance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, and organizes elections and referendums when required.
The department also provides support to citizens and elected municipal officials for the legal logistics surrounding the celebration of civil marriages.
