Mission
The new Legal Services Department, created on November 13, 2018, is divided into two separate departments: the Litigation Department and the Real Estate Transactions and Contracts Department. Its mission is to provide strategic legal advice to the General Management, City Council and departments, to support the organization’s activities, to manage claims and the insurance portfolio, to handle real estate transactions and expropriations, to draft and validate contracts, to promote conflict resolution and to represent the City in negotiations and, ultimately, before the courts.
