Mandate
The Land Use Planning Division shapes our future in terms of land use planning and development. It makes it easier to reconcile infrastructure development with the city’s growth.
The Land Use Planning Division is responsible for managing the Ville de Brossard’s municipal infrastructure and project office. It plans, coordinates, and monitors infrastructure construction, replacement, and maintenance projects, while ensuring quality and optimizing costs. It is also responsible for the strategic management of the city’s real estate portfolio, with a vision and plan for medium- and long-term investments.
- It oversees construction and renovation projects, ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met, in collaboration with other departments, external partners, and residents.
She also works with real estate developers to build municipal infrastructure that meets standards. - It helps improve the quality of life by creating new urban parks and renovating existing ones, in accordance with the Master Plan for Recreational and Sports Facilities.
- It also helps beautify the streets and promote urban greening.
- Finally, she is in charge of active transportation and traffic management.
- It oversees the design of public roads, signage, traffic lights, and traffic-calming measures, while developing a safe and user-friendly bicycle network.
