Project Office
The Engineering Department is responsible for managing and carrying out projects on the city’s territory, both for the construction and renovation of buildings and major structures. She coordinates the various stages of projects, from preliminary study to final delivery, while respecting deadlines, budgets and quality standards. It works in collaboration with other municipal departments, external partners and citizens.
Working with developers
The Engineering Division works with real estate developers on development projects within its territory. It draws up memorandums of understanding with developers for the construction of new municipal infrastructure, such as streets, sidewalks, bike paths, parks and green spaces. It ensures that construction complies with the norms and standards set by the city and the relevant authorities.
Improving the living environment
The Engineering Division contributes to the improvement of the living environment of citizens by designing and building new urban parks and redeveloping obsolete ones. These projects are carried out in accordance with the Recreation and Sports Facilities Master Plan adopted by the municipal council. It also contributes to the greening, beautification and development of urban streets, taking into account the needs of users.
Active mobility and traffic
The Engineering Division is responsible for active mobility and traffic management on public roads. It is responsible for the geometric configuration, signage, traffic lights, traffic calming measures and all related installations. It analyzes traffic-related problems, proposes appropriate solutions and monitors interventions. It promotes active mobility by developing and maintaining a safe, user-friendly cycling network.
