On October 1, 2017, to mark National Seniors’ Day, which coincided that year with the Journées de la culture, the Ville de Brossard invited senior citizens to take part in a great intergenerational dance.
The sessions, in the form of workshops, began with a warm-up on a chair, followed by various exercises focusing on body expression and motor skills, exploration of space and the rudiments of theater.
Participants learned movement sequences leading to the creation of an original choreography. Citizens were invited to join in the big collective dance to the rhythm of Guarda Come Dondolo, a 60s hit popularized by Italian artist Edoardo Vianello.
