This collective work created by artist Chloé Beaulac is the result of cultural mediation workshops carried out by 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classes at Sainte-Claire de Brossard elementary school.
This mural features Anubis, king of the wolves and protector of the world beyond, surrounded by 233 original bibittes, a blue Morpho, a rare South American butterfly, and a small figure in memory of Ulric Boucher (2006 – 2017).
The work is inspired by Ulric’s passion for nature and his love of insects, fauna and flora. Each student involved had to imagine and create an insect. Each creation was then digitized and integrated into a mural that now hangs near the school secretariat.
This cultural mediation project is part of the Entente de développement culturel signed between the Ville de Brossard and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec.
