The Intergenerational Fresco project brought together students with learning or integration difficulties from École Marie-Victorin and frail seniors from CHSLD Centre Champlain to create a fresco to brighten up the dining room at CHSLD Centre Champlain.
Conceived and led by artist-mediator and specialized educator Kathleen Egan, the project brought together some 100 students and 30 seniors. By taking part in art workshops, participants were able to break their isolation, stimulate their creativity and create intergenerational links. The children were also made aware of the aging population.
