Composition

  • The committee is made up of elected members, officers and citizens;
  • Members are appointed by resolution of the Municipal Council.

Officers

  • Traffic division manager;

  • A managerial employee of the Public Works Department;
  • A managerial employee of the Urban Planning Department;
  • A representative of the Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil;
  • On request, internal and external resources can be invited to present files to the CMD;
  • The Engineering Manager is responsible for administrative follow-up.

General mandate

  • Carry out annual mandates assigned by the planning committee;
  • Recommend to the Municipal Council all steps, initiatives and measures to ensure the monitoring and sound management of traffic, mobility, road safety and road signs within the City of Brossard;
  • Analyze queries, complaints or requests forwarded to the committee by elected officials;
  • Recommend changes to the signage plan and traffic and parking regulations to the Municipal Council;
  • Develop and recommend a local travel plan (including active mobility) with an action plan;
  • Monitoring and updating.

Specific mandates

  • Draw up a speed reduction plan.

Frequency of meetings

Statutory meetings are held monthly.
