Members
Composition
- The committee is made up of elected members and municipal employees;
- Members are appointed by resolution of the Municipal Council.
Officers
- A representative of general management;
- The head of the procurement department;
- On request, internal and external resources can be invited to present files to the committee;
- The head of the procurement department is responsible for administrative follow-up.
General mandate
- Carry out mandates assigned by the planning committee;
- Monitor the progress of jobs and contracts over $25,000 on a monthly basis, and contracts under $25,000 on an annual basis;
- Recommend corrective actions;
- Identify best practices in municipal contract management;
- Annually evaluate policies, including: Contract Management Policy, Administrative Directive – Procurement of Goods and Services and all other directives related to procurement and contracts.
Specific mandates
- Develop and recommend administrative guidelines based on contract management regulations.
- Frequency of meetings
- Meetings are held at least once a quarter, or more frequently when necessary.
Quorum
A quorum is two elected committee members.
