Composition
- The committee is made up of elected members and municipal employees;
- Members are appointed by resolution of the Municipal Council.
Officers
- A senior employee of the Information Technology Department;
- A senior employee of the Communications Department;
- A managerial employee of Services Brossard;
- On request, internal and external resources can be invited to present files to the committee;
- The IT Director is responsible for administrative follow-up.
General mandate
- Carry out mandates assigned by the planning committee;
- Identify best practices in new technologies, smart cities and business process improvement;
- Carry out an annual review of actions carried out;
- Carry out an annual assessment of technological tools (BCiti, website, mission systems, etc.) and make recommendations;
- Identify future technological challenges and make recommendations;
- Recommend to City Council any and all initiatives and measures for communication campaigns, communication policies and citizen consultation policies;
- Monitor the implementation of the citizen consultation policy.
Specific mandates
- Analyze the intermunicipal IT services agreement and make recommendations;
- Develop an IT strategic plan and action plan;
- Analyze and make recommendations for the City’s Web site (support communications).
Frequency of meetings
- Meetings are held at least once a quarter, or more frequently if necessary.
Quorum
- A quorum is two elected committee members.
