Artists and cultural enterprises wanted!
Ville de Brossard is looking for artists of all disciplines!
Painters, photographers, digital artists, performers (dance, music, circus, other) and sculptors are sought to participate in Perform ART, the must-attend cultural event of the Journées de la culture from September 27 to 29, to be held at Brossard’s Alphonse-Lepage sociocultural center.
Artists are invited to perform, exhibit or set up a booth during the event to showcase their talents to the public.
In a dynamic format, the event will showcase artistic creators and companies, and present a multitude of workshops and artistic performances of all kinds. The event is presented as part of the Journées de la culture. The first component of the event is the kiosks and panels featuring artists from all artistic disciplines (visual art, photography, digital art, etc.). The second component is the participatory performances and experimental workshops offered by professional artists from a variety of artistic disciplines.
Significant improvements!
After a successful first edition, Perform’ART (formerly the Salon des arts visuels) will be held for the2nd time in 2024. A number of improvements have been made to the event in response to suggestions from participants and visitors, and the formula has been reworked to better meet the needs of artists. A formal vernissage is planned to launch the event, as well as a lively networking activity for participants. Balanced programming to attract families and a more adult clientele is planned for certain key moments, and the performance schedule will be revised to better cohabit with neighboring booths.
Opening hours have been reorganized to maximize attendance, including Sunday opening. Finally, the call for submissions was extended to artists from outside Brossard to increase the number and diversity of exhibitors.

- Friday, September 27 | 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Saturday, September 28 | 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Sunday, September 29 | 1 to 4 p.m.

The selection is made by a committee and the results will be announced in June 2024. Selected participants will be required to pay the registration fee at that time.
TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
- Possibility of requesting an exhibition space (horizontal surface approx. 8′ x 4′ on panel or wall), artist’s presence not compulsory during the event, or :
- Possibility of requesting an 8′ x 4′ booth including table, 2 chairs and display panel. Artist’s presence strongly recommended for the duration of the event
- Possibility of a 10 to 30-minute performance during the event.
- We are open to exploring other forms of participation with artists as required.
FILE COMPOSITION
- Summary of proposed art project;
- 2 to 5 JPEG images;
- Artistic curriculum vitae (recommended);
- Artistic approach (recommended).
FILE COMPLIANCE
- Be an artist, craftsman or cultural worker, or represent a cultural enterprise. All artistic disciplines will be considered.
- Present themes and subjects appropriate for public places (no nudity or violence).
- Assume full responsibility for its works (fire, loss, theft, accidental breakage and vandalism insurance), Ville de Brossard disclaiming all liability in this regard.
- Set up your booth on Thursday, September 26 and take it down on Sunday, September 29 after the event.
